Cancellation Policy

Students must provide 24-hours notice for school or vacation related missed lessons in order to qualify for make-up lessons. Missed lessons due to illness will always be honored and rescheduled.

If I personally need to cancel a lesson due to personal illness or travel plans, I will give 24-hours notice, and no charges will be accrued by the student for those missed lessons. If possible, I will reschedule those lessons at a time that is convenient for the student.

As a professional accompanist, there will be a few weeks out of the year when I might ask certain students to reschedule their slots in order to accommodate a school competition or concert. I will do my very best to keep this at a minimum, and if this proves to be a problem for your schedule, I will put the student first.

If, for any reason, you feel the need to remove your family from my studio, I ask for two-week's notice and wish you the best in your musical endeavors!

Other Thoughts

My studio is located in my home, so I ask for you to respect the premises and keep the noise level of other siblings to a minimum. Parents and/or siblings can wait in their vehicles or avail themselves of local parks or shopping during the lessons.

(This is a pic from this last 2021 school year during one of my many stops into the local public schools. I work as a professional accompanist for UIL competitions, so this year's competition cycle was definitely challenging but also highly rewarding! Despite the masks and constant hand washing, the growth of the music programs in our area due to the perseverance of the student body and hard-working teachers paid off!)
